PAD Dress Code

A dress code is important for dance class because it helps students move freely and safely while ensuring instructors can see their form and technique clearly. It also creates a sense of discipline and unity, allowing dancers to focus fully on learning and expressing themselves. Plus, it helps students feel prepared and ready to dance!

For All Classes: No necklaces, bracelets or large hoop earrings are to be worn during class.

​

For Pivotal Petites: Dancers may wear pink, black, or tan tights and any color and style of leotard. Skirts are permitted. Pink leather ballet shoes are required.

​

For Combo Classes: Dancers may wear pink, black, or tan tights and any color and style of leotard. Skirts are permitted. Pink leather ballet and black patent leather tap shoes are required.

For Bitty Bop Classes: Dancers are permitted to wear leggings, joggers or workout pants to class. Clean/ New (only utilized for dance class) "Hip-hop" sneakers or tennis shoes are required. Street clothes especially jeans are not permitted because they hinder the dancer’s range of movement.

For BTJ Classes: Dancers may wear pink, black, or tan tights and any color and style of leotard. Skirts, jazz pants/capris, and hot shorts are permitted. Pink leather ballet shoes, tan slip on jazz shoes and black patent leather tap shoes are required.

For Ballet Class: Dancers must wear pink tights and a solid black leotard. Wrap skirts may be worn at the teacher’s discretion. Shoes should be fitted Pink split sole ballet slippers with no laces or laces tucked under. Hair should be secured in a bun.

 

For Jazz, Contemporary and Tap Classes: Dancers may wear leggings, hot shorts, leotards and crop tops. Crop tops are not sports bras and are fitted longer in the torso. Tights are not required. Tan jazz shoes are required for both jazz and contemporary. Black oxford style tap shoes with a solid sole are required for tap.

 

For Hip-Hop Classes: Dancers are permitted to wear leggings, joggers or workout pants to class. Clean/ New (only utilized for dance class) "Hip-hop" sneakers or tennis shoes are required. Street clothes especially jeans are not permitted because they hinder the dancer’s range of movement.

 

For PBT Classes: Dancers must wear a leotard and leggings with their hair in a bun. Bring an exercise mat to class each week. Adult dancers may wear leggings and a form-fitting top.

For Acro Classes: Dancers may wear leggings, hot shorts, leotards, and crop tops. Crop tops are not sports bras and are fitted longer in the torso.

 

Male Dancers: Please dress comfortably in a solid color pant or dance pant along with a t-shirt or tank top. Jeans are not allowed in class. You must have the proper shoes for each class.
