Studio Policies
Our studio policies are in place to create a positive, organized, and safe environment for all our dancers and families. These guidelines help ensure that every class runs smoothly, allowing students to focus on what matters most—learning, growing, and having fun! By following our policies, we can work together to make Pivotal Academy of Dance a welcoming space for everyone.

Code of Conduct / Social Media Policy
Pivotal Academy of Dance is dedicated to providing quality dance instruction in a safe and nurturing environment.
-
Attitudes that are disrespectful, uncooperative, or aggressive do not have a place at Pivotal Academy of Dance.
-
Students will not speak negatively about one another or the instructors.
-
Any inappropriate or slanderous remarks about Pivotal Academy of Dance or its staff members or other students on any social media site will be cause for immediate dismissal from the studio.
-
If you have a concern or grievance you must make an appointment with the studio director, or you are welcome to send an appropriate email to discuss the issue.
Absenteeism is very disturbing to the learning process. Missing a lesson due to illness or travel is understandable but please try not to schedule other activities or appointments at class time. Students may make up classes missed but there will not be a reduction in monthly tuition.
Abesenteeism
Holidays & Weather Closures
We follow Hays CISD for weather-related closures. If classes are canceled due to inclement weather, we'll notify you via email and post updates on social media. You can also check our website calendar for any scheduled studio closures.
Payment Policies
Monthly tuition is never pro-rated but determined from an average of entire classes from Sept-May (35 weeks of classes). Fees and/or tuition is NOT refunded, and it must be paid by the 10th of a month to avoid a $25 late fee (NO EXCEPTIONS). Tuition and/or registration fees cannot be refunded. SHOULD A LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION OCCUR, fees can be credited towards current session of classes ONLY. (For example, a cancelled camp fee can be credited to any other summer class or camp, but not towards fall classes.)
Drop Policy
Two week written notice must be given IN PERSON or BY EMAIL. The current month will serve as child’s last month of classes. Auto-drafted tuition will not be refunded if drop notice is received after payment has been drafted.
